The DOSA3D system is a tool for estimating the optimum volume of liquid in pesticide treatments applied to tree orchards.
The intention of the authors is to promote the use of this tool to people who recommend or apply such treatments.
The estimation of the optimum spray volume is based on research which has made it possible to establish a methodology for calculating, and subsequently validating, the appropriate volume of product to be applied. This has been achieved through studies of product deposits and/or pest controls carried out on plantations treated according to DOSA3D criteria.
Whatever the case, DOSA3D must be used within the application limits explained in the presentation and subject to the assumption that these guidelines provide a numerical estimation based on empirical data. It is understood that this may not constitute a complete guarantee for the use of the product nor totally rule out factors such as variability and error.
For this reason, the authors and institutions that have developed DOSA3D cannot accept any form of responsibility for the use made of the product or for any decisions that could be taken based on information obtained about DOSA3D.
